30th September is last date for Returns

The Due Date for filing Income Tax, FBT and Wealth Tax Returns for the financial year 2007-08 is 30th September 2008, for Tax Audit Cases, Corporates & Working partners of Tax Audit Firms. Returns for companies and Tax Audit firms have to be filed electronically. Failure to furnish Tax Audit Report before Due Date may attract penalty upto 0.5% of Sales or Rs.100000/- whichever is less.
