Punjab Government increases VAT from 4% to 5%

The Government of Punjab has enhanced the rate of VAT from 4% to 5% on Schedule 'B' Goods (other than declared goods) w.e.f. 29/01/2010, as per Public Notice issued by Excise & Taxation Department, Punjab. Therefore the CST Rate on these items sold to Unregd dealers will also be 5%.
